Independent Assemblies of God
International [Canada]
Dear Servant of the Lord:
Greetings in the Precious Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I am in awe every day by the great things God is doing through His servants across the nation and around the world. From coast to coast the Spirit of God is moving. We are in a very special season. Please read a few of the reports and join me in praising God.
Please let me take this opportunity to thank the members and churches who are sending their tithes/gifts to the Independent Assemblies of God International. The I.A.O.G.I. (Canada) is not a central organization that requires a tithe from membership. Because of your financial gifts, you help the I.A.O.G I. (Canada) prosper and through the Compassion Fund, you bless fellow members who have lost a loved one. Thank-you for your strong financial support and gifts from the heart. May God richly bless you.
Jeremiah 37:17, Then Zedekiah the king sent, and &ldots; asked him secretly &ldots;"Is there any word from the Lord?" And Jeremiah said, "There is." This question was asked by Judah's last king, Zedekiah, a weak and vacillating unbeliever, who did not mean to be as bad as he was. It was answered by the prophet, Jeremiah, who had now become the iron pillar and brazen wall God had predicted. Upon Josiah's untimely death his three sons, followed him in order upon the throne and last, his uncle, Zedekiah. Things had gone from bad to worse for Judah. Now the Chaldeans had surrounded the walls of Jerusalem as the trembling king asks God's prophet, "Is there any word from the Lord?" "There is," Jeremiah replied; and then as if drumming a lesson into the head of a dull child repeated this message, "Thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon."
Viewed broadly, Jeremiah's message as he gave God's word to Zedekiah was a word of judgment, of faith, and of salvation/deliverance. There was a word from the Lord but the weak and fearful king would not heed it.
This text is relevant. Our own age is asking, "Is there any word from the Lord?" If we who are called to be preachers of God's Word are true we must echo Jeremiah's reply of long ago, "There is." What is God's Word for us in our day?" Let me mention three things as we apply this ancient text.
"Is there any word from the Lord?" First of all there is -
1. A WORD OF AFFIRMATION - That word is this: God lives. He is alive. He rules. The God whom Isaiah saw almost three millenniums ago, "sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up." Isaiah 6:1 still reigns in this world; and "He must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet." 1 Corinthians 15:25.
That is the gospel's word, the gospel's affirmation. "He rules the world." He may not be ruling the world in the way you and I want Him to, but He is on the throne.
Our world is afraid and confused. Our world is perishing for some sure word out of which hope may arise. Servant of the Lord we have it. God rules. He lives. He is upon the throne. Our world is starving for such a word. We have it. We had better give it. Amid all the confusion of our day there is one who is not confused. "Alleluia; for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth." Revelation 19:6.
"Is there any word from the Lord?" Second, there is -
2. A WORD OF WARNING- God created man innocent, sinless, free; innocent in that he had not been tempted and therefore had not fallen into sin; sinless in that he had not, as yet, exercised his power to choose between good and evil; and free in that he could choose to do whatever he liked within prescribed boundaries. By its very nature freedom must have boundaries or else it is no freedom at all, but anarchy. God prescribed those boundaries. Our first parents crossed those boundaries in willful disobedience. They fell. This is the history of the race.
This was the history of Judah in Jeremiah's day. They had transgressed God's laws and thrown down His covenant. Jeremiah's message was simple because of her sins Judah and Jerusalem would be punished. Jerusalem would be destroyed and her people would be carried into captivity. After seventy years of purging in a foreign land for her sins of idolatry and unfaithfulness the nation would be restored. A remnant would return. This was God's prophet's word of warning.
"Is there any word from the Lord?" There is a word of warning. The Bible is full of this word. "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:4. "The wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Galatians 6:7. There is a word from the Lord; it is a word of warning.
"Is there any word from the Lord?" Last of all there is -
3. A WORD OF SALVATION/DELIVERANCE - As King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah a third time, his request was, "I ask thee a thing; hide nothing from me." 38:14. He was saying, "Tell it like it is preacher. Tell me, what is the score? What will come of all this?" After receiving the king's assurances of fair dealing, Jeremiah said "Thus saith the Lord &ldots; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon's princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house. But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand." Jeremiah 38:17,18. This was a word of salvation for his own life, the life of his family; and it would save the city form destruction. But we read the sad word, "And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid." 38:19.
We have a word. We can tell the world, "We see Jesus." The writer of Hebrews had seen it all - the terror, the wretchedness, the hatred on the earth, the mess man makes of things. Yet he said, "But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus." Hebrews 2:8, 9.
Again, we know our marching orders. The word, through Christ, is to go into all the world with the Gospel. Our loved ones, our city, our region, our province, our world must be reminded that God lives and rules that God warns men of impending judgment, that He saves all who will believe.

GHANA MISSION TRIP
Ps 2:8 "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession."
In April Dr. Claude Page, Mrs. Bonnie Dekold and Pastor Gerrie Armaly left for Accra, Ghana West Africa. It was their 3rd trip in as a team. This time the Lord sent us in to work with Pastor John Felix Yeboah and his wife Cecelia in the Brong Ahafo region. Pastor John pastors a church in the town of Dormaa Ahenkro. He is the Dormaa district pastor overseeing three Political Districts with over 600 towns and villages. Pastor John and his leadership invited us to be the keynote speakers at their Easter Convention which is their main convention of the year.
The 11 hour trip up to the Doorma Ahenkro area was long and at times very taxing to our bodies. The roads are often rough with many pot holes, and the driving is very dangerous. Most drive extreme speeds and fatal accidents are not uncommon. We spent most of the trip interceding as we maneuvered through very heavy traffic. The temperatures were extreme even for the people of Ghana. Most days we saw temperatures of 120-125 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Easter Convention was a celebration with much ceremony and traditional dance. About 600 men, women and children came from many outlying villages to spend the weekend. Living conditions while at the convention were often difficult for them. They are a hungry and desperate people. They would sit in the heat under tarp coverings from 9:00am to 3:00pm and then back again at night.
We preached twice a day with a wonderful response as they came forward with great hunger for more of Jesus. Many were healed and filled with the fire of His Presence. In the afternoon there were sessions for Pastors. There were usually about 50 pastors and their spouses present. One of the key areas in which we are seeing great breakthrough is in the breaking down of the traditional abuse of women. Three years ago on our first visit into this area, the Lord opened the door for massive healing in this area and this time we saw much change in the pastors and how they respected and loved their wives. It was a joy to see the freedom in these precious couples. God is so good. He really has given us an inheritance among these people.
On Easter Monday we began the long trip back to the capital of Accra, to now connect with Pastor Leroy Gibson, who would take us into the Liberian Refugee Camp. We were blessed with air-conditioning in our hotel rooms here. It was such a blessing, because our bodies were really feeling the extreme heat. We would be preaching at a Victory Shalom Bible College for the next three days. Little did we know what God had in store for us. Our time with these people has forever changed us. We still weep in our spirit when we think of them. The Liberian Refugee Camp is the home of 40,000 refugees who fled their home land of Liberia when Civil War broke out over 16 years ago. They were sent to different areas in Africa, to be dispersed to other parts of the world. They have lost loved ones, homes, careers and possessions. On this particular camp site, 40,000 wait to be sent to Canada, Australia, Holland and Norway. But these countries have closed their doors to them. They live in tiny cinderblock shacks with tin roofs, no water, no hydro, no indoor plumbing. They cannot work and they are destitute and devastated. Yet, as we entered the grounds where the conference was taking place, the glory of God fell as they were already worshipping the Lord with all of their hearts. We wept as His Glory was everywhere. There were about 150 pastors and students inside a small church. They danced and loved on Jesus with all that was within them. As we shared with them teachings on worship, intimacy and the Holy Spirit they just drew out of us all that the Lord would release. Oh that we in North America with all of our riches would be as hungry as these people are, who have nothing. When they worship, they recognize that they can bring nothing up for an offering, but their cry is "Lord, we have nothing to bring but ourselves, and so we give you US." It was absolutely awesome.
On Wed. night we were taken to the oldest church on sight. It was established 14 years ago. I (Pastor Gerrie) was privileged to speak on worship. The Lord had me speak on the restoration of the Tabernacle of David out of Acts 15:16. After the word, worship began. They had already interceded an hour before we even got there. As they began to worship, the Glory came down. We have never experienced this level of worship anywhere in North America. It was as if we had entered heaven itself. It didn't matter that it was 100 degrees. They danced and worshiped the King of Kings, out of common suffering. They had a unity like we have never experienced here in North America. The Holy Spirit spoke to me so clearly. He said, "I have brought you here to refresh you and to carry home the seeds of this level of worship back into your own church." We have come home with a new passion for worship beyond what we can even begin to explain. Oh that our hearts would worship the King in this way. So often we find it difficult to even push ourselves to raise our hands when we are going through a trial. We are so caught up in ourselves. They truly loved to worship the King, and self was not in the way.
We were also able to bring in two large containers of medical supplies. Through the help of a Christian Customs Officer we were able to get the supplies into the Liberian Camp. A Christian Doctor and two nurses worked as a team and in an orderly fashion about 200 people came through the clinic on the first afternoon. They continued the clinic the next morning. We were able to purchase the supplies through Health Partners International of Canada. What a blessing they were to these very hurting people who are unable to get the care they need.
We visited the sight of the Bible College and were able to supply them with Curriculum from Shalom Bible College in Iowa and were also able to purchase a photocopier for them. Such a miracle for them! We did not know that they had been praying for several years already for this machine. God truly does hear the cries of his people.
Our next few days were spent with three Key leaders of the Lutheran Church in Ghana. The Lord used us to teach them, pray for them and encourage them. We had ministered at a Lutheran Youth Conference last Aug. and had the privilege of ministering to about 600 Lutheran Youth. These three men were hungry to be taught. We had precious fellowship with them.
On Sat. April 22, we began our long trek home, knowing that the heart of our heavenly Father had been satisfied. We have made many new friends and our congregation which stood in the gap 24hrs a day for two weeks has been enriched because of this trip. So we give Him all the glory.

OLD PROPHET - YOUNG PROPHET
Reference: 1 Kings chapter 13. The Lord spoke to me on Sunday, July 9, 2006 regarding this passage with specific instructions and applications. It has been prophesied that we live in a time where the old and the young are to run together, that it is the time for the elders in ministry to raise up 'Timothy's". It is to this particular matter that the Lord gives this strong warning.
"Be careful with the young" says the Lord. "For those who I have placed in your fold have come with a strength that is not to be bridled by man, They have been sent with strong words to change churches, governments and nations. They must be given the door of utterance. It must be opened to them. This door is not to be withheld or softened by man. They are not to be restricted. Yes," says the Spirit of the Lord "they will say and do things that will cause even the seasoned ministers to feel uncomfortable. You are not to 'steady this ark' you are not to change their words; you are not to soften the blow. For their words have been sent by Me to cause a shaking, This shaking has only just begun."
" Some of you have known these words of shaking, some of you have known of the strength of which I speak, but those who went before you, softened and convinced you to come into their house and settle down and 'dine on their dainties' with them. You were held down; you were not permitted to speak with the strength I sent you with. This is the time to shake off the trappings that held you when you were young and hold the door boldly for those who are coming. They are here. Look for them. Hear My voice as I instruct you to help them cross into the destiny that I have appointed them to." says the Spirit of the Lord. Amen.
As I continued to meditate on the Word and the scriptures, I believe that the Lord further instructed me to carefully consider the state of the old prophet at the end of the chapter where he gives instructions about his burial. There was a kind of ringing in my heart of the words: burial of regret. It has left me with a great carefulness in my approach in instructing the young. I trust it will with you as well.
Bless you.

THANK YOU
I felt that I needed to take the opportunity to thank everyone in the Fellowship who so graciously helped us in our time of need. We especially want to thank the Brother and Sister from B.C. ( we'll call them 'our angels' Rev Nelson Stratulet and his wife from Abbottsford) who left that wonderful Convention to take me to the emergency at the Hospital and stay with us until very late in the evening assuring us that they would get us back to our hotel room. God bless all the pastors that came in to visit and prayed with me, and Brother Karl who kept track of my progress daily.
We certainly felt loved! We so much appreciated the fruit basket that Brother Sylvester's church sent, also the fact that the fellowship covered our extra expenses. We're so grateful.
And God does work out all things for the good! Prior to going to Convention, my specialist wanted me have a biopsy done so that they could determine what they were dealing with, since my white blood count was sky-high. That would entail a 4" incision, but I declined. Lo and behold, when I ended up in the Regina General, I was put under the care of a Hematologist who did a complete analysis of my blood and determined the results that my doctor needed, without surgery! With that information, he was able to start me on treatment just shortly after I got home. By the way, my leg was sufficiently healed by the time we landed in Halifax that I could walk normally again. Also, I have had no pain in that leg since. The treatment I'm on is also lowering my white blood count dramatically so that my energy level is increasing daily.
Thanks again for your love and prayers. Please continue. Remaining yours in the love of Christ.
Jake & Ada Turksma.

HAMILTON DREAM CENTRE
The Hamilton Dream Center was founded in 2003 and is situated at 627 Main St in Hamilton, Ontario. It is in the second highest crime rate area which the dealers and users call, "Crack Central". Through our food and clothing bank we at present serve 7,000 families in an area where 38% of the people live below the poverty line. At the end of June 2006 we had passed the $1,000,000 mark in food and clothing distributed. We call it, "Being Jesus with Skin on". Our center at present also supplies six other food banks, four High School "pantry's" and now supply 17 breakfast clubs in our immediate area. This is absolutely vital as statistics tell us that 3 out of every 4 children between the ages of 7 and 13 years old go to school everyday without breakfast. Board of education stats tell us that this can make a difference up to as much as 20 marks on the final reports. We also have summer camp every year as funds provide for up 45 children free for seven weeks.
Our web site is, www.thehamiltondreamcenter.org. Our email is info@thehamiltondreamcenter.com and we would love to hear from you. Our greatest need of course in finances and volunteers. It takes 25 volunteers to operate our food and clothing bank for one day. The need is great. The cost of running the Center is $1,000.00 per day and as more programs come on line this too will increase. Any assistance in any area would be appreciated as the work is vital. You would certainly receive the blessing of the Lord, but also the gratitude of a grateful community. Do not be afraid to contact me, Ace Clarke at ace@acegame.org personally to find out how you can help. As the disciples of John the Baptist were sent to find out if Jesus was the one, His answer was, "Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: 5 The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the poor have the gospel preached to them". The fruit we see is evidence of God's blessing. Pray for us and assist if you can.

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME
There is a scripture verse I have been meditating on for a number of months, it is found in Colossians 1:13, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." NKJV
Over the years I have heard much preaching about being free in Christ and yet so many times we see believers struggling with their faith. In my own case I have had to examine why this is.
We see Jesus as a kind, generous, loving Saviour who wants only the best for us. Yet, on the other hand some say God is a strict authoritarian who sends disaster or trials into our lives to discipline us. Something just doesn't compute.
Jesus said "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father." John 14:9. We say "God is good all the time." But do we believe that God is good all the time? I don't think we do.
Some have said God sends trials, calamities, while on the other hand we go to Jesus to claim our deliverance or healing. Yet we see that Jesus really did show us that God is a good God.
God gets blamed for our own bad choices in life and our unbelief in His promises. A fulfilling and freeing way to experience peace and victory can be had by just admitting our mistakes, repenting and going on with God.
So therefore God doesn't send catastrophe. The Amplified Bible says it simply "The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance to the full till it overflows." John 10:10.
When we change our minds about God and see his character as loving and as one who wants to bring restoration in spite of our shortcomings, then we will truly see His Kingdom come to earth as it is in heaven. God wants to restore and bless and bring about only good things in our lives.
We can tell the good news which is all believers have power over the enemy of our souls, circumstances and sin, so that they can live the victorious life that Jesus promised.
We have been delivered from the power of darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of the Son of His (God's) love. Let us give glory to God for his blessings and benevolence. So the next time we reply to the statement God is good, we can truly say, all the time. As we place our impossible circumstances with a God who answers prayer, we can rest in the fact that He is all powerful over the enemy, sin and our own mistakes or failures. We can rejoice that we no longer live in darkness but we now live in a new Kingdom where heaven can surely come to earth as it says in the Lord's prayer. Then when we preach John 3:16 to a lost world, people will be able to experience the true meaning of salvation. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."

THE IMPACT OF YOUTH CAMP
Rev David Kelsey said "what a powerful week at Youth Camp." in August. Rev David Kelsey and his team reported an outstanding Youth Camp this year at Lamrecton Campgrounds. The location is near Sarnia at Bright's Grove, Ontario (on Lake Huron) and Rev Gary Osbourne was the guest speaker. 8-9 kids were saved. Others re-dedicated their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. One service was dedicated to speaking in tongues (receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost) and almost 90% of the camp or more was speaking in tongues by the end of the service.
Then we had 2 services with tremendous (heart wrenching testimonies) that were shared. They powerfully related to the kids this year. We (God) had to re-build some of these kids from the inside out. This year's camp make up was totally different than we had had in the last 7-8 years. We had about half the camp of community kids from 2-3 churches and about 4 kids under CAS care. Some of these young people had tremendous needs, terrible pains that had to be healed or removed by the power of God.
But God showed up in a powerful way. Thursday morning we had the kids from Sarnia Bethel Pentecostal Church and the Sarnia Revival who came in to speak and at the end we had campers line up and the speakers prayed for them for an impartation of boldness and more of the Spirit. God did a powerful move and revival flames were lit. I believe it was a start of a fire releasing moment for our local area.

WHAT GOD IS DOING WITH YOUTH
The testimony of Kyle Lubbers from Sarnia Ontario shows that God can set the captive free. He is a young teen suspended from school for preaching the gospel in Sarnia at his high school in May. This made front page news in the Sarnia Observer causing an uproar in the city. There was also media coverage on TV about these events.
Kyle had previously been addicted to drugs and alcohol, showing up to school high and intoxicated. He was living a completely unruly lifestyle. His parents were at their wits end. But God intervened. He came to Bethel Pentecostal Church one night and received Christ and was filled with the Holy Ghost. A revival has been going on in Sarnia since April at this church and many have been saved, and healed by the power of God. After his conversion he immediately couldn't contain himself and went to school preaching and praying for the sick. Great crowds of kids were gathering around him to hear him preach and others joined with him to witness at school. Many kids were healed also.
Kyle also proved a life in Christ Jesus produces fruit. He began attending classes and the guidance counselor was impressed with his attendance at school. This was a miracle. Eventually the preaching and praying became a problem for Kyle and the school board. He was suspended.
The day he was suspended from school he went home and told his father "Dad they kicked me out for preaching." To which his father replied "keep preaching!"
At Youth Camp near Sarnia this year Kyle and others from Sarnia came and shared what God was doing and prayed for the young people and laid hands on them to impart boldness to them. We are anticipating the move of God in High Schools everywhere.
A WORD FROM THE LORD
Aug. 15, 2006. Be careful My people to worship Me in spirit and in truth. When you come together to worship, come with a humble spirit and in unity with love for one another. Desire My Word. Let love abound in your services and in your life. Many churches today are doing what they think is right, and what they think pleases Me, but it does not. They are trying to worship Me in the flesh, and they cannot. I do not desire that kind of worship because it is not from the heart. I desire true worship that comes from the hearts of My people. They must worship Me in the spirit.
My Glory is coming on the earth in these days in a powerful way, to further my work on earth and to bless My people, but the fire is coming too, to burn up the dross. Do not be like Nadab and Abihu, who offered profane fire to Me-that which I did not command. Obey My voice, My people and remember what happened to Nadab and Abihu when they offered what I did not command or desire and My fire consumed them. Their hearts were not right before Me.
Leviticus 10:3 says: "By those who come near Me, I must be regarded as holy; and before all the people I must be glorified". Everybody is talking about wanting My glory, but they do not realize My holy fire is coming too, to burn up the chaff. People; listen to Me, I love you and I am coming in great glory, but I want you to remember that I am a holy God and you must regard Me as holy. Those things in your services that do not glorify Me will be burnt up or consumed. I am coming soon, My people, so be ready. Be full of love for each other as I love you, and be in one accord.

ARCTIC MISSIONS
North America recorded the hottest first six months in the history of tracking the weather. Having said that we are now experiencing one of the best August we have enjoyed in a long time. We need to continue to pray for "the peace of Jerusalem". The newspapers are not always reporting the facts. Please continue in prayer for our armed forces as Canadian forces battle the demonic in Afghanistan.
It was my pleasure to attend and assist in the recording of the First Peoples Summit in Ottawa, June 21 to 24, 2006. If you are interested in obtaining a DVD of the signing of the Covenant between the First People's of Canada, drop me line and I will see that one is mailed out to you. They are available for a donation of $10.00 including mailing.
On July 8th, 2006 thousands of youth and adults gathered at Parliament Hill for the Cry 2. Leaders from across Canada were recognized and prayed for God's blessings upon our Nation and its leaders. This gathering was different from others who came to demonstrate, instead youth from across Canada gathered to pray God's blessings upon the Nation. "Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord."
It was a privilege to be a part of these activities and to also support them. Many Inuit were present at both of these gatherings, making extreme financial sacrifice to be present.
This summer continues to be a busy one. On Monday July 31st, I left for Arctic Quebec and the Third "Free Indeed" Conference in Quaqtaq which ran from August 2 to 6, 2006. This year's conference was in the form a Bible Training sessions and workshops geared to training Inuit leaders to minister healing in their own communities. The Annual Youth Conference hosted by the Kangiqsujuaq Full Gospel Church was cancelled due to the tragic death of Pastor Annie and Mark Tertiluk's son Steven. I ask your prayers for the pastor and her family that the God of all Comfort would be their source of strength.
In September I will be ministering in Iqaluit at the second Annual Inuit Leaders Conference. Topics that ask prayer for are 1) The Indigenous Church 2) Conflict Resolution In The Church 3) Understanding the Prophetic Nature of the Church 4) How To Create a Missions Vision in the Local Church. This conference occurs September 21 to 24. I will also be visiting Cape Dorset on the week-end prior and appreciate your prayers.

EASTERN ONTARIO REGIONAL REPORT
Habakkuk 2:14 "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."
The key word in this verse to all Christians must be realized that it is the knowledge, and the word knowledge means, being identified, handled, experienced, perfectly acquainted with this Glory of the Lord. This is the hour that God's church is going to spread His full, rich glory throughout the earth. Let us be challenged and persevere with relentless prayer that the precious Teacher, the One who guides us into all truth, will get us to this place.
That which God promises we have no doubt that He will bring to pass. So it is ordinary people, like you and me that are redeemed, shall spread His Glory over the entire earth. We are the army that this world should be concerned about.
This is the season that God is going to put all of His enemies under His feet. Let us rejoice and let us be glad that through the power of the resurrection, this is no problem for our Lord and Master, to get all who are willing to such a place as this. Psalm 16:11 "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." For it is God's presence that all the people of this world are looking for. The fullness of unconditional love in their hearts. This unconditional love can be found in the fullness of His Glory, and His Glory is found always in His precious Presence.
God is blessing in this southeast region of Ontario. These are a few reports of churches in our region.
The Evangelic Mission - The Fish Gate Church, pastored by Reverend Cetude Pierre, just celebrated her 7th year of ministry. Her church is now located in Ottawa.
Pastor Dan and Dale Rosborough will be dedicating their new church "Tent of David Ministries" on September 22, 2006 in Clarence, Ontario. The Rosboroughs joined the fellowship almost two years ago and we are excited about this new beginning the Lord has blessed them with.
We have a report from Pastor Glenn and his wife Irene Mousseau that the Pembroke Christian Assemblies new location is bursting at the seams. In fact, they believe that their building will be paid off next year. They just baptized 11 people of all different ages. They report they are having blessings, blessings, and blessings!!
We are very excited to have the national convention of the I.A.O.G.I. Canada in Ottawa May 7th - 10th, 2007. God has been very good to us in providing an excellent facility, The Embassy West Hotel Conference Centre. We feel they have given us the best price available for their facilities in the city of Ottawa.
The convention is in its early planning stages and we are trusting God to take a large group to pray on Parliament Hill, providing it's cleared by the executive. We expect this convention to make a difference in the government of Canada, and therefore, a difference in the entire country of Canada. PTL!!

EBENEZER REVIVAL TABERNACLE
We give thanks and praise to God for His faithfulness and His many blessings that He has bestowed upon us.
In the past months of 2006, we have experienced the good hand of God in our midst and also on the mission field.
This past February Pastor Leroy Case and I went on a missionary trip to India. We had a tremendous time ministering the word of God to thousands of people. Many were saved, healed and delivered by the power of God. It was also an opportunity to visit the Pastors, Educators and children we are supporting on a monthly basis.
Nineteen years ago we built an orphanage in India to house 50 children, but upon our visit this time, we noticed that the condition of the orphanage is deteriorating, so we have decided to take a step of faith and to build a new orphanage with better accommodations to house 100 children. This project will cost $36,000.00 to complete. We know that the Lord is able to provide the funds for us to complete this project before the end of the year. Please remember this project in your prayers.
Some of the older children who have completed their studies in the orphanage and interested in ministry are now going to two years of Bible training and will come back to work in Ebenezer Revival Tabernacle in India ministry outreach.
My wife and I went to St Lucia on a missionary trip July 12-19th, 2006. They were celebrating their 21st anniversary. We were their special speakers and we also conducted the ordination service on Sunday August 13th. Five Pastors and Evangelists were ordained and licensed into the ministry. We also held special Evangelistic meetings and seminars. There were Pastors and church members from Martinique and St. Martin who also attended these special meetings. "We can truly say; to God be the glory, great things He hath done".
We give thanks to God for what He is doing in our midst. Souls are being saved. August 6th we had a baptismal service with seven new converts. We are also reaching out to our community. We have been evangelizing by distributing tracks and flyers of upcoming events and general information of the activities of the church and inviting them to regular church services.
October 6th - 8th 2006 we will be celebrating our nineteenth anniversary. It will be a time of thanksgiving to the Lord for what He has done for us, what He is doing and what He is yet going to do.
We are believing the Lord for a great outpouring of His Holy Spirit as we reach out and touch lives at home and overseas.

PROVINCIAL BRITISH COLUMBIA CONVENTION
The location will be Stillwood Camp and Conference Centre at Cultus Lake, British Columbia, February 20-23, 2007. Stillwood is situated directly south of Chilliwack, overlooking the scenic Cultus Lake. Comfortable rooms, great food, and wonderful opportunities for fellowship in a very relaxing atmosphere and all this makes it a must to be in attendance as leaders participate in an atmosphere of Christian worship, where the Holy Spirit is given freedom to lead us into an intimate fellowship with the Father and His Son, our Savior and Deliverer. The Key to the success of this Conference is that each attendant comes and stays for the entire Conference.
Comments from 2006 Conference: One attendant at 2006 Conference said: "This set the tone for the Conference and what followed was the Prophetic being stirred up moving mightily, and all were greatly encouraged and uplifted. It was the most Spirit filled and Spirit led Conference in all my years in ministry."
Another attendant said that it was quite intense, and they suggested that we needed an interjection of some fun activities to become better acquainted with one another.
The Steering Committee for the Conference will be considering any possible improvements in the program of the event. One of our Conference Guests will be our General Secretary, Paul McPhail, both servant and dear brother!
Final details for registration will be finalized early in the fall, and all BC Members will receive the details in a registration package. Further information can be requested from Conference Co-coordinator:

PRAYER
When we listen to the news and what is happening in the Middle East we wonder what can we do to help? We can pray for peace to come to the Middle East and ask for protection for Canada. What is prayer? Prayer is communicating with God. Prayer is not a one way conversation. God does speak to His children through His word. He also speaks through dreams and visions. Sometimes He speaks through other Christians and also through an inner witness in your Spirit. Some people actually hear His voice.
How important is prayer? Jesus wants us to pray. Matt.21:13 (New International Version). And He said to them "It is written my house should be called a "house of prayer". Prayer builds strength Luke 21:36. But keep on the alert at all times praying in order that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place and to stand before the Son of man. Prayer is effective James 5:16 N.I.V. "the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." 1 Peter 3:12 says "the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayers, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
Prayer will heal our land 2 Chronicles 7:14 N.I.V. "If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people, and my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and heal their land."
How much time should you spend in prayer? The Bible says pray without ceasing. You can always be in an attitude of prayer as you go about your daily routine, or you can set a specific time and place to pray and read your Bible every day. Prayer can build you up and give you strength. Start with praise and worship-Psalm34:1 N.I.V. states "I will extol the Lord at all times his praise will always be on my lips." Praise and worship brings us into the very presence of God. If your heart is crying to know God better then I would say to you today seek Him in prayer while He is still able to be found!

GRACE GOD'S GIFT TO US
What does grace mean to you? What does the word of God have to say about grace? Paul the writer of most of the New Testament opened and closed his writings, by using the words "the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all amen" He also used "Grace be with you all amen or the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit amen. Does God grace us with more grace than sometimes we recognize, or receive from Him? Maybe by now, many of you are thinking oh yes God's grace, his unmerited favour to us, something we don't deserve it. We don't deserve it or can we earn it.
It is God's gift to us Ephesians 1:6 says "to the praise of the glory of His grace by which He made us accepted in the beloved." Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace have ye been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast." Paul speaks of becoming a minister according to the gift of the grace of God, and the working of His power. Ephesians 3:7, and Hebrews 4:16 we are invited to the throne room of grace. Hebrews 10:29 speaks of the spirit of grace. Hebrews 4:7 to each one of us grace was given to the measure of Christ's gift.
Therefore outside of God's gift of grace what have we to stand on in His Holy Presence? When it comes to revelation, sovereignty, predestination, election, seated in heavenly places, throne room entrance through Christ, apostolic or prophetic, evangelistic or pastoral and teaching ministries, is there any other foundation possible for the work of ministry outside the gift of grace in our personal lives or within the body of Christ? Ephesians 4:11-15.
Do we not feel very humbled by the glory of God granted to us in this great gift of grace. Or is our own spiritual pride blocking us from feeling that kind of humility. We as ministers, leaders or whatever gifting the Lord has given us can choose to be liberated in God's gift of grace, by doing so we can also choose to compliment one another's ministries as His Church Body
On the other hand we can choose to demean His gift to us, and therefore will not inherit His promises given to us, with His glorious gift of grace. Draw on it and receive it, don't harden your heart to a given gift from Jesus Christ and the spirit of the living God. Pastor Jerome Stufko.

He was born October 25, 1947 in The Netherlands, to the late Jacob and Zwaantje (Denekamp) Turksma. He immigrated with his family to Canada in 1954 and grew up in Cornwall, Ontario. He graduated from Cornwall Collegiate Vocational School and then went to the University of Toronto where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He felt God calling him to the ministry in 1974 and received his ordination in Sept 1976 in Aspley, Ontario by Rev Ward Trotter. Sister Turksma said the last few weeks at the cottage for Brother Jake they saw a number of awesome sunsets, and there was a fragrance that was unexplainable that accompanied each sunset. She and Jake had celebrated a 35 year wedding anniversary a short time ago, and had always worked side by side together in the ministry in cooperation and fruitfulness. God blessed their ministry and many lives were touched, and fruit remains from this faithful couples life of sacrifice and dedication for the Kingdom of God.
"The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." Job 1:21.
Rev Jacob Turksma served the Lord with all he had. He preached the uncompromised word of truth. We praise the Lord for his life. Till we meet again our dear Brother Jake.
DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST?
When I was asked to write this article, I was in the beginning full of the fear of the Lord but then my thoughts were put in the mode of fear of men (they will assuredly say he is a legalist!). However, the word of God invites us and exhorts us to reject this fear. "The fear of man bringeth snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe" Proverbs 29: 25. "Thus saith the Lord; cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord" Jeremiah 17:5. So, after being encouraged by the word and by some dear brothers, I decided to obey and share this with you.
This last summer, our Church went through an experience that we could call or qualify as "For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body" 1 Corinthians 11: 27-34.
A man that shall remain nameless came from time to time to the meetings of our Church as he would also visit other Churches in our region. This individual would say that he was converted to Jesus Christ since 1998 but refused to be baptized according to the Scriptures. He declared himself a disciple of Jesus Christ and that his Church was Jesus. Pastors and Churches are inventions of men only to control the true disciples he would say. This gentleman did not restrict himself to visit our meetings and was always putting a judgement on the Christians and making all kinds of reproach to the Churches.
This summer we decided to present a concert and testimony evening in public as an evangelistic outreach and the first thing we discovered was that our man was planning his own affair the same night at the same place. We spoke with him and exhorted him but it was to no avail because according to him he was a disciple of Jesus Christ and to Him only he had to obey because we were not doing what we should do for Christ.
Few weeks have passed and we had no news of our man until we learned that he was found dead in his bed, leaving the members of his family in shame because they had to ask the government to administrate his funeral and death duties.
Fortunately, one of the local churches took care of the funeral and we were present with the desire to encourage and present the Gospel to his family.
During the following week, many have asked me the question if it could be a judgement from the Lord. I prefer to leave this with the Lord but I do believe that it is a serious wake-up call and if there is a lesson to learn out of this it is that we should take the things concerning the Kingdom of God very very seriously.
I believe that presently in the Body of Christ there are to many disciples out there and even in our midst that do not discern the Body. They do not recognize the order and the authority that the Lord himself has established in His Church. They do not recognize the words of Jesus concerning His Church. There are many trends (movements) in our days and believe me I do not want to oppose what the Spirit is doing inside and outside the Church but I realize that in the different trends we are experiencing whether it is prophetic, renewal, intercessors or apostolic their are too many people doing their own things, they are lone rangers. A disciple without a church that doesn't exist! Isaiah had the vision (Isaiah 2: 1-5), Jesus made the declaration (Matthew 16: 18),and the apostle Paul made the application (1 Timothy 3:15).
So, to all my dear brothers and sisters who believe that the Architect has changed His plans for His Church I would say with all of my heart hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church!
For His Kingdom
