Dear Fellow Ministers;

To all our Ministers:

Greetings to all of you in Jesus precious Name.

May this short message find you all well and rejoicing in the goodness of the Lord.

It is just almost impossible to think that summer has gone and we now are in the fall with winter staring us in the face. My prayer is that all of you have had a great summer and you are now ready to reap a harvest for Jesus.

We are living in a day when many people are in frustration and don't know what they really believe. We have a responsibility to make sure that every person is aware what the word teaches us about this day. Not only do they need to hear the truth, but they need to see the truth in action in the church. There are two things that cripple the church. (1) Finances. (2) Immorality.

When Jesus gave his gifts to the church Ephesians 4:11 "And he gave some, apostles, some prophets, and some, evangelists, and some, pastors and teachers; v 12, For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edify of the body of Christ": Here I see that the Lord has invested his ministry into the church so the church will be strong and have a good testimony in it's community. If this ministry will flow under the anointing of the spirit, it will make the body of Christ strong and secure.

One of the key ministries that the Lord has given to the church is the gift of the pastor. This ministry is to watch over the body so no ministry can come in and fleece the sheep. I know that some one will say that the sheep need to be fleeced every year. If this is so, it should not be by a ministry coming in from the outside. Pastors have a responsibility to give some security to the flock. The pastor must be the shepherd of the flock, and bring a calm atmosphere to the sheep. (Local church) In other words pastors you need to know who you are bringing in. If you bring in a ministry that will do something that will bring confusion to the flock, the church will not go forward but backward. Your community will not be helped but rather defeated. Darkness will not be checked but rather empowered. This will be a direct result of the pastor making a decision that was not wise. If this happens, than the pastor and the church need to ask God to forgive them, and bring a spirit of repentance in their midst that will bring good judgment and honesty into the house of God.

On the other hand, we as ministers to the body of Christ need to understand that we have not just come into a local church to promote our ministry. We have come into the local church with the objective to strengthen the body of Christ, and leave a blessing behind that will bring much fruit into God's kingdom . If we all do this we will see the kingdom of God triumph over the kingdoms of this world.. We will see the powers of darkness defeated and the spirit of revival released from the church. This will give great stability to the community to which the church is ministering.

May the Lord grant to all of us wisdom to redeem the time for the day we live in is dark and evil. Ph. 2 15; "That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;" This is the real purpose for our ministry.

May the Lord bless you, and keep you, and make you a profitable servant in His kingdom.

Rev. Harry Wuerch,

Again it is renewal time.

In this mailing you will have your renewals application. Please fill in the questions plainly, and make sure that we have your right address. Send form #4 to your covering church. Send form #3 to this office with your cheque of $100. If renewed by the 31st of January 2005. After this date there will be a penalty of $30. So if your renewals are after the 31st of January 2005 your cheque needs to be $130.00. We look forward to your early renewals. Let's make this a record year for fast response. If through the year you have a change of address, I thank you for forwarding this change to the office.

This will be my last year as your Canadian General Secretary for the I.A.O.G.I. (Canada). In the May convention 2005, I will not let my name stand for re-election. I thank you all for your kind support during my time in office. I have learned much during the past 20 years. I thank all of you for your prayers and support, and would ask for you to do the same to my successor. I plan to stay active in ministry, so I am asking that you still lift me up in your prayers daily. I still have a burden to help local churches wherever possible.

The Alabaster Box

In a sparse room lit by a barely flickering oil lamp we see a young woman lying in the birthing position on a bed, her head soaked with sweat that marked the labour of love she so long anticipated.  Now the time has come, a husband waits without, to hear the sounds of new life, seed sprung from his loins through passionate adoration of a young bride.

Not a particularly rich man but one whose vision for his family went well beyond the present into the far distant future.  The heart of a father allowed him to envision the joys of life together with a child of their very own.  Such hope, such dreams, such promise.  The growing years, the joy of teaching, the comfort of a continued family line which in their culture is very, very important.

We do not know their lineage, for their place in history this does not matter.  Beginnings are never dwelt upon when God counts the score. What matters most is what transpires when the final gun has sounded. The lives of this family are fogged in history past until Jesus comes on the scene.  All we know is, there was a young lady whose character has been questioned by people from all levels of life and morality and in an act of absolute adoration this woman took every thing of value she had left and spent it on the Master.

In a culture where dowries count, if we go back in our minds we can well imagine this journey of a lifetime.

My movie goes something like this: the father with his eye to the future at the very time this new life enters this world makes a decision to even now to prepare for hisdaughter's wedding.

Over the next several years he takes a portion of his meager income and purchases an alabaster box.  It may have taken him years to pay off this purchase, perhaps ten or fifteen years, who knows.  But once it was paid off he began to save for the filling of that box in such a manner as he would be able to find a suitable husband for his most precious daughter. Day after day, year after year his labour went on until the box was filled with the most beautifully fragrant ointment.  At last he could rest knowing his daughter would now be able to find the perfect mate.

We do not know why such a marriage did not take place, perhaps he died before arrangements could be made, or perhaps he was a leper, eternally an outcast in search of a miracle.  What ever the reason, we have this young lady unmarried in a time when society held no place nor provision for young, parentless women.  There is not a lot of opportunities for those in her situation in this time and culture.  She had to live, she had to survive, some how, some way.  Ruth had her Boaz, the widowed women had her Elisha and all through the years there have been those who stand up for the weak.  This young lady had Jesus.

It must have been a scene worthy of awards as Jesus sat for a meal, this young lady approached unasked and began to wash His feet with her tears.  Picture it, as the tears flowed they would be gathered in her hands and pressed upon the feet of the one who lit her life, ignited her hope and granted her a future.

Simply put, she washed His feet.  This was a duty that custom and manners demanded take place as the guest entered the home by the host of the house.  Apparently there were more important desires the host had in mind.

Picture the master of the house sitting at the head of the table, lording it over others, then to the shock of almost everyone in the house, the duty is performed not by the one who should have.  But by the one who would have and did. While others looked on in stunned amazement, this uninvited woman of questionable history, makes history.  Tear after tear after tear she wept and washed and with nothing other than her hair she wiped His feet.  Then with a movement borne of a determined plan she broke her alabaster box and with the penetrating aroma of her future hopes and dreams, she anoints the anointed and makes history her home.  The shock waves must have reached heaven and with a fatherly esteem, God looked over His shoulder to the place He had made for her. Oh she would never marry, but from this point on, she was never alone, never abandoned and never more an orphan.

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

I was reading the other day of Jesus temptation by the devil in the wilderness. One of the temptations interested me. The temptation is in Luke 4:5-8; "Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.  And the devil said to Him, 'All this authority I will give you and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.  Therefore, if you will worship before me, all will be yours.'  And Jesus answered, and said to him 'get behind Me, Satan. For it is written; you shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve." (NKJV)

Notice that Jesus did not argue about the fact that Satan said the kingdoms of the world had been delivered to him. Jesus was there when God gave man authority over the earth and everything in it. He was also there when man disobeyed God and turned over that authority to Satan. Jesus knew that the only way man was going to be reinstated was through the cross. Therefore, He didn't put up an earthly fight, but responded by declaring truth. That same truth of God's word is what we use against Satan in our war against him.

The Word of God also lets us know that since Jesus has redeemed us; we also have regained back what Satan stole and man relinquished. So I believe we should be teaching people, not only that their sins are forgiven and they are on there way to Heaven; but also the authority they have because of Jesus death and resurrection. Let each Christian take his or her place as soldiers of the Lord with this in mind. He has already gotten us the victory.

John 16:33 Amplified Bible: "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have (perfect) peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer (take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted). For I have overcome the world. (I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.)  To order my books

FOREIGN MISSIONS

Greetings from the land of the hot desert sands and ancient cultures.  During our last 3 years of service here we have seen powerful anointings touch the people as we preach the word of God with the demonstration of the power of the Holy Ghost.  We have ministered from one on one on the streets, to 10's and 20's in the house cells groups to 100's in legal churches to 1000's in the India crusades, but I have not seen the spirit of revival so strong as it is now among the Moslems, since the Passion movie was made available to them all.  Thousands have made decisions to follow Christ, but they will need strong pastoral support.  God has intervened on my behalf at least five times, angels protecting me.  Praise God.

We are self supporting and faithfully tithe to our home fellowship, local churches and Indian missions.  We pray that you also will feel the challenge of our work, and if the Lord leads you consider helping us both through prayers and offerings.

In the season which we live, our work is to promote understanding and peace between the faiths, through "lifestyle evangelism."  Please keep us in your prayers and remember us as the Lord leads you.   We serve in this mission field in the Middle East.

HEALING FOR ALL?

Yes, absolutely!  Psalm 103:2&3  "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases."

According to 1Peter 2:24 "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed", these benefits, forgiveness and healing, were purchased at the atonement.

Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while wee were still sinners, Christ died for us," clearly shows that it is God's love not our righteousness, that makes us eligible for His benefits.

God has provided but not all receive, for salvation we know that the gospel must be shared and a person's faith must mix with the word for it to become profitable.  By studying Romans 10:9 & 10 the human side of the salvation equation requires heart belief and mouth confession.  Without these the benefit of salvation is not received.

Similarly with healing.  The God side of the equation has been done, 2000 years ago.   It must be the human side that is lacking when sickness is not healed.  In Matthew 10:8; Mark 16:18; Luke 9:2, 10:9, Jesus sent His disciples out to heal the sick.  Healing showed God's love and was a sign and wonder that gave credibility to God, His Word and His supreme power.  Today, when healing is lacking in the body of Christ, the opposite function takes place.  God is perceived by many as malicious, cruel and harsh.  When this changes many souls will be saved.  We, God's people have not portrayed God accurately to those around us because we have not lived in the power and authority that is ours according to Jesus' own words in Matthew 10:1 and Luke 9:1.  Even good, full gospel churches have not equipped and commissioned very many people in this area of ministry.  That is where the International Area of Healing Rooms (IAHR) can help.  IAHR is a ministry based on the Healing Rooms of John G. Lake. In the early 1900s Lake trained and sent out "Healing Technicians."

With over 100,000 documented healings over a 5 year span, his city Spokane, Washington, was declared the healthiest city in the world.  The IAHR began in 1999 and has assisted 280 groups to open their own local healing rooms.

The healing room operates much like a free walk in clinic, except that visitors receive ministry rather than medicine.  The three things a healing room will do are, give God glory and recognition, and visitors will be healed, saved, and filled with the Holy Spirit.  Volunteers from local churches will grow spiritually and become active and fulfilled in their ministry.

A Prophetic Word

The time has come when I will no longer tolerate mockings of My people, My servants and My ministers; My own. The time has come for a sifting of the wheat. The chaff will be blown away. My people, those who remain, will be made strong and do exploits in My Name. Those who get in the way of My Work (through My people, in these days), will be pushed aside or even perish. Judgment is coming to the house of the Lord. My people need to seek Me, repent, and get close to Me and they need to obey My voice. Cleanse yourselves from impurities and stay close to Me, because I am doing a work in My church. A cleansing work. So My church will be without spot or wrinkle.

The things that have gone on in My church, that I have tolerated, I will no longer tolerate. People must not come into My presence with wrong attitudes or motives (or sin). There is also going to be a noticeable distinction between My "true worshippers" and the pretenders. I am going to draw  a line between them. My Spirit will be on the "true worshippers", that worship Me with their whole heart. My Spirit will be on those who worship Me in truth and spirit. My Spirit will not abide with anyone who does not desire My Spirit. My Spirit will depart from anyone who desires to stop the moving of My Holy Spirit. (It will depart as it did with Saul). It is a dangerous thing to stop the workings of My Holy Spirit.  (Given to Valerie Young on August 23, 2004).

BRITISH COLUMBIA NORTHERN MISSION

Arlo and Glenna Johnson spent a total of six weeks traveling among the villages of the First Nations People in the remote region of northwest British Columbia.  These villages included Dease Lake, Telegraph Creek, Iskut, Kincolith, Port Simpson, Kitwanga, Kispiox, and Topley, B.C.  While we ministered with people of various church backgrounds, I will focus my report on two areas pastored by members of the IAOGI-Canada.

Glenna and Arlo Johnson were joined by a Youth Ministry Team for the period of July 7-19.  The team was composed of Tony Vigar, Amber Alexander, Kerri Mooney, and Katrina Liss.  On July 7-8 we traveled to Dease Lake, B.C. where we would be working with Gerrit and Elisabeth Apperloo, members of the IAOGI-Canada.

The Apperloo's have a small congregation in Dease Lake that meets in a very nicely re-finished double wide trailer that has a full basement under it.  Gerrit was the director of Highway Management for a number of years.  During that time, a congregation was formed, and upon taking early retirement, they have given their full time to the ministry.  Their ministry is not only in Dease Lake, but weekly Gerrit travels two hours in a westerly direction to visit during the day, and conduct an evening Bible Study in Telegraph Creek.  Gerrit also travels over an hour in a southerly direction weekly to do the same in Iskut, B.C.

Tony Vigar, a member of our team stayed at Dease Lake to preach in the Sunday morning service while the rest of our group traveled on to Telegraph Creek in preparation to conduct a four day Vacation Bible School at a Fish Camp identified as Six Mile Fish Camp.

On Thursday, we were scheduled to travel to Iskut to conduct a second four day VBS, but due to a death by suicide, it was cancelled.  In place of it, a VBS was announced for Dease Lake.  On Wednesday afternoon about six children attended, then Wednesday evening we went out to do a promotion of the VBS in a nearby First Nations village.  The Team did crafts, and played games with about a dozen children.  On Thursday, all of them showed up at the VBS, about 18 in total attended.  For the remaining two days the attendances were about 15.  Parents, Christian, and non-Christian, expressed their appreciation for the VBS.  During the mornings we spent time with the Team in prayer and sharing.  Sunday morning the Team took the service:  Kerri led the worship, and shared a testimony, Katrina shared a testimony, and Amber shared a very powerful monologue.  Tony made the altar call, and some came forward for prayer.

After the team left, Glenna and Arlo went to Iskut for Tuesday through Thursday.  On Tuesday afternoon, Gerrit, Richard, and Arlo visited in four or five different homes. (Richard and Margaret Klocker are believers that have a ranch 20 miles south of Iskut).  God gave a very special time of sharing with the father of the suicide victim.   Tuesday evening 10 people attended a bible study in the Elders Centre in Iskut.  It was led by Steve and Ann  who own and operate an RV Park a few miles north of Iskut.

They reside in the United States during the winter months, but while they are in the area they assist in the work at Iskut.

The entire time in the area was interspersed with a lot of good fellowship and times of encouragement for the Apperloo's.  On the last Sunday evening with them, we concluded with an extended time of prayer an intercession for the people of the region.

During another segment of ministry Arlo and Glenna took a ferry to Port Simpson, B.C. (Northwest of Prince Rupert).  Pastor Ted and Bertha Ryan (members of the IAOGI) have pastored in this village for about 30 years.  Presently there are 1500 people living in this isolated area.  They have a very nice church building that would seat about 200.  However, both Pastor Ted and the congregation have gone through some very severe spiritual battles.  Pastor Ted has struggled with cancer of the liver for about three years.  Nevertheless he participated in the services that we conduct there August 13-17.  YOUR PRAYERS would be greatly appreciated for this pastor and congregation!  Personally, I believe that God is going to send revival to Port Simpson!  In keeping with this conviction we are laying plans to go again into Port Simpson with a group of people to pray and minister to these very precious people.  We do ask the Fellowship to pray that God will grant a spiritual revival in the region of northwest British Columbia where the Apperloo's and the Ryan's labor to bring the gospel to their part of this vast region.

TWENTY FIVE YEARS OF MINISTRY

I praise God for 25 years of ministry that we will celebrate on September 17th, at Best Western Kings Inn 5411 Kingsway, Burnaby British Columbia.

What began in a humble setting in a small community center behind my home in 1979, from Monday night meetings with praise, the Word, prayer for needs, (this is where healings began and most important salvations) and fellowship to coffee houses and Burnaby Gospel  Mission for over a decade to radio, television and planting of a church.

God continues to bless this handmaiden of His that He set free through having Jesus Christ as Lord, Saviour, Healer and Deliverer from past hurts and alcoholism into this glorious walk with Christ.  The television ministry "Eternally Yours"  is aired Saturdays 11:30am on Bell #539 or StarChoice#357

He taught electrical, electronic, mathematics, computer courses and even a law and ethics course. He practiced as an electrical engineer with Sask Tel in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1963 for two years. In his engineering position he prepared briefs for governmental approval for radio systems installation. He ordered the equipment and prepared the work orders to install the radio equipment. The briefs were very comprehensive requiring many calculations relating to the coverage area of the radio systems.

He returned to university to complete his B.A. and teacher's diploma and then taught at the Saskatchewan Technical Institute for two years before moving to Sudbury Ontario and teaching at Cambrian College. He also was the coordinator for electrical programs at Fanshaw College in London, Ontario for five years and taught at Northern College in the Timmins area for fifteen years before retiring from a 33 year community college teaching career in 2000. As you can well imagine he attended a good number of graduation ceremonies for his students over the years.

The courses that he taught in the community college system helped provide the students with the skills necessary to function as technologists or technicians when they graduated. Their services became greatly in demand based on their training. Many of the graduates went on to higher education becoming professional engineers and at least one student graduated with a Ph.D. in physics. The students received practical hands on training at his hand as well as the other professors on staff.

It's been a real adventure to launch the Christian radio station in Sudbury. God has helped us every step of the way and we are grateful for His guidance and direction. It's wonderful to be in his will. To this day we praise him for the hand's on training he had in learning how to do radio applications after he graduated in electrical engineering. During the past 10 years even though he was teaching, he started to take more and more interest in Christian radio across Canada. He completed his application for the Sudbury station a couple of months after he retired from teaching. The Lord has provided him with additional technical staff including computer experts to run this ministry. Recently He has given us a new vision to help extend this opportunity to others to expand Christian radio across the country.

If you personally have an interest in establishing your own Christian radio station.

CHURCH AROUND THE TABLE

Perfect Word Ministry is a ministry given to me by God where I write and teach thru Question and Answer workbook format the Word of God.

"Church Around the Table" is a Cell Church Ministry where we have over the last seven years delivered these teachings in many places and through churches.

From camp meetings to in house to church settings doors have opened. We have been praying that we will find a permanent home setting (Church) that is looking to set up small group ministries. Small groups are fine for they meet the community in the community but they I believe need a church base to go for regular pastoral direction and care.  We must quit looking at the flock as being our flock personally and that they are His flock totally.

When Christ told Peter feed my sheep, tend my sheep and feed His Lambs He was looking at generations of flocks and He especially made Peter realize they were His not ours.

This year we are entering our seventh year in this type of teaching ministry and we have seen God work His wonders He is performing.  Thru our Web site we work with many Pastors around the world standing with them in prayer especially in Pakistan (12) and India (over 100 Pastors).  May the blessings of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit rest and abide with you

sLetters      Letter From The Editors

Greetings in the Precious Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This time of year, we stand truly amazed at Our Father's love for us.  When we consider the message of the Christmas Season, that Jesus Christ was born into the world for the forgiveness of our sins, we are breathless.  We stand amazed in His love.

Anna Mae and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

 The Way of God

"If my people would but listen to me."  Psalm 81:13

God has a specific training ground for spiritual leaders.  There are three patterns of preparation that have been common among most of God's leaders.  First, there is a time when the leader is separated from his old life.  Consider Moses, Joseph, Abraham, and Paul.  In order for God to mould and shape them into His nature, it appears that He had to remove them from the life of comfort.  A teacher once said, "You cannot go with God and remain where you are."

Secondly, there is usually a time of solitude.  God often brings leaders into a time of solitude in order to speak to them without other distractions.  Hosea 2 says, "I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her."  Paul was sent to Arabia for three years of solitude.  Joseph spent years in the solitude of prison.  Moses spent forty years in the desert herding sheep.

The third characteristic of God's preparation for leaders is discomfort.  The setting in which the preparation takes place usually is not a place of comfort.  Abraham traveled through the difficult deserts.  David lived in caves fleeing the sword of Saul.  Paul was frequently persecuted.

Are you ready for the classroom of leadership preparation?  If God chooses to bring you into this class, you will be faced with three reactions to the events.  First, you may say, "I don't need it."  Perhaps you know intellectually, but God wants you to know it in your heart.  Pride prevents us from entering this classroom.  The second reaction may be, "I'm tired of it."  You decide you've had enough.  If so, this will disqualify you from leadership.  Finally, God's desired response from us in this preparation is "I accept it."  To accept it with joy is the place of maturity in Christ.  God often keeps us in these places until we come to accept and agree that Jesus is enough.  Is He all I need?

Like the people of Israel, I think we have something to do with the timetable of our education.  "If my people would but listen to me, if Israel would follow my ways, how quickly would I subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes!"  Psalm 81:13,14

Are you ready for the process required for being a Godly Leader?  Ask for His grace to willingly embrace these times of preparation.
